The forge is used to melt ores, scraps, metal blocks and ingots. in this mod, the furnace is only able to melt blocks and food. Any ore requiring silk touch or from other mods, will not work. they have to be melted the normal ways.

Usage[]

its used to melt metal into ingots as well as mercury. when melting ingots to create brass, copper or steel ingots, its important to count the values properly. for more info about these values, look at Scrapping.

unfortunately, there are quite a few bugs with the forge, so its important to pay attention while using it. list of known bugs:

  • when melting bronze, it only uses 1 tin and 1 copper ingot, even tho the recipe calls for 2 copper. this means that when melting in bulk, you'll need to remove 1 copper ingot after each process.
  • when melting brass, it only uses 1 copper and 1 zinc ingot, even tho the recipe calls for 2 copper. this means that when melting in bulk, you'll need to remove 1 copper ingot after each process
  • when melting any ore/block, they will split up into scrap. this can cause scrap to fill some of the inventory slots. if the first slot is left empty after a melting process, the process might halt. move some of the scrap to the first slot to make the process continue.
  • when melting, sometimes it will instantly complete all the metal in its inventory, only costing 1 durability from the mold.
  • the mercury and gold recipes doesn't show up in HEI
  • the values for Brass and Bronze is unbalanced in comparison to steel. this is most likely a bug since they lack a scrap item, thus demanding full ingots, rather than scraps.
